Description
With the new VS4000sl, operators wishing to wrap small to medium quantities of slim line cases can now achieve a quality finish equal to the standard of more expensive finishing machines. The VS4000 sl is a tabletop mounted unit dedicated to small or medium scale production of CDs or CD-Rs. The VS4000sl works with a slim line jewel case that measure 5.2mm or 7mm thick. The semi-automatic operation is simple and effective. A stack of 100 pre-cut sheets of polypropylene wrapping material are placed on the manual platform. The slim box is simply placed on the pre-cut sheet and the operator moves the heater to seal the front of the box. The side folding and sealing are fully automatic. Throughput for the first semi-automatic operation is up to 250 per hour. The automatic side sealing operation can produce up to 500 per hour. The sealing temperature is electronically controlled and can be set to the desired value. An electronic security systems stops the machine operating in the case of incorrect usage. Polypropylene wrapping material can be supplied in boxes of 10,000 sheets from Summation. The VS4000sl is a cost effective solution providing professionally finished slim line CD packaging for short run work, at a tenth of the cost of industrial equipment.
